Formula & veterinary review: veterinary professionals reviewing our methodology are especially welcome — the method page documents every factor and source.
Partnerships & media: affiliate and media enquiries welcome, with one rule stated up front: placement inside calculations is never for sale.

Site questions
Is this site really free?
Yes — every calculator, table and breed page is free, with no sign-up and no email gate. The site costs little to run; if advertising or affiliate links ever appear, they will be labelled and will never change a calculation.
Who maintains the calculators?
One independent publisher with veterinary-consultant review of the formulas. Brand input is limited to published energy density; no manufacturer reviews or approves any page before it ships.
Where do the numbers come from?
The formulas and factors come from AAHA, the Pet Nutrition Alliance, the Merck Veterinary Manual, WSAVA and FEDIAF — detailed, with worked examples, on the method page linked from every footer.
I found an error — what happens next?
Write via the contact page with the page, your inputs and what you expected. Reproducible errors are fixed first, across every affected page, with the change dated on the method page.
What happens after you write: correction reports are checked against the source (label photo or official brand page) and, when right, fixed across every affected page with the date noted on the method page. Breed requests are logged and built in request order when a clear coverage gap exists. Calculator bug reports — a result that disagrees with the formulas on the method page — are treated as the highest priority we have, because a wrong number here is fed to a real dog twice a day. Typical reply time is a few days; the inbox is read by the person who maintains the site, not a support desk.
Before you write, the three fastest answers: a brand's kcal changed — check the bag's kcal/kg ÷ 10 against the card on its brand page; if they differ, your label wins and we want the photo. A missing breed — if it has a published adult weight range, it can have a page; requests with the breed standard's range attached jump the queue. A calculator result that looks wrong — compare it with the worked examples on the method page and tell us the inputs you used; reproducible disagreements get fixed first, before any new feature.
